They’re not problems you need to get rid of and fix. They are wise languages you get to interpret.
There’s an intelligent part of you that knows something that your conscious mind can’t yet access. The way to get to that, is through your body.
Once you have the key to this inner knowing, the conflict and void currently waging war inside of you can be integrated into wholeness.
what this means is...
There's enormous power inside of the very things you've been trying to change about yourself...
And when you get your body involved in your healing, you get to tap into, use, and integrate that power. And you discover that the anxiety, perfectionism, overthinking, inability to ever finish anything you start, shame, and the perpetual feeling that you're about to be found out... are all parts of you desperately ready to be expressed.
How it feels
Using a unique and intuitive combination of coaching, inquiry, nervous system regulation, breathwork, thought work, energy work, movement, reshaping and body reading, and deep listening to your body and the healer inside of you, we gradually increase your window of tolerance for feeling and expressing what's true for you so you can be who you want to be and do what you keep saying you want to do in life.
It sounds uncomfortable. And it is. It’s work. It’s a process. You may process a lot of difficult feelings as you shed the layers of energetic debris, tension, beliefs, and holding patterns that are currently keeping you overprotected and bound.

And you’ll also feel amazing feelings.
The hard stuff is balanced by increasing your CAPACITY for discomfort, developing your own internal SAFETY, by INTEGRATING the things you’ve been holding onto, avoiding, and trying to fix, being able to DO THINGS you couldn’t get yourself to do, and being able to FEEL MORE GOOD FEELINGS while knowing that you can handle the less-good ones.

THE PROCESS
What to expect
In somatic coaching, we work with your body as the way in to your inner world, your subconscious, your nervous system, your pains and struggles, and your highest power. We recognise that your body is the living representation of how you’re being, feeling, and acting in the world.
How you are in your body shows us how you think, feel, form relationships, process, manage your energy, take meaningful action, engage with life, and form meaning in a way that is not obvious through talking. Your body is the most tangible way into observing and working with how you live your biological, linguistic, historical, social, relational, and spiritual lives.
While there is no set structure or methodology to follow (because we work intuitively and phenomenologically) we do work on three (non-linear, interconnected) somatic levels in our coaching container:

On your body
Bodywork, movement, posture, tension, nervous system relaxation, habits, breathing biomechanics and biochemistry, diet, sleep.
This is where we release the conditioned, protective, muscular tension that is stored in your body and that contributes to pain, feeling blocked, tired, and being ‘closed’. Then you can return to being held up and influenced more by your primal tension, that is, your life force.
Deep listening, sensing, feeling, emotions, thoughts, practicing, expressing, breathing, body shape and holding patterns. This is where we bring in your emotional, social, and environmental life.
Example: you know you hold yourself back from being in a relationship/telling your parents you’re a Life Coach /letting yourself cry. And you’re still holding yourself back. You’re aware of how you’re being, but haven’t been able to actually change it.
So we unlock the wisdom inside the ‘stuck’ tension, patterns, emotions, posture, etc. that you’re habituated into. From here you can develop your self-responsible, co-creative, conscious relationship with yourself via how you live in and through your body so you can make different choices that lead to actual change.

Energetics.
This is where we work with intention, your wisdom, your intuition, meaning and purpose, spirituality, and your life force.
The sexy, mystical stuff where we engage with the life energy that animates and shapes who you are. Your aliveness and how you engage with and channel it.
We find and connect with your patterns of energy, interconnectedness, interdependence, reciprocity, higher perspective, and expression, how they expand and contract you, your relationships, and your worldview, and connect you with Nature, Spirit, and your sense of meaning and purpose in life.

What you gain from the 1-1 container depends on your intentions for coming, where you're starting from, and what you bring with you, but some things you can/might expect are:​

Somatic Coach and Breathwork Therapist, yoga and meditation teacher, energy worker, and Myofascial Release Practitioner.

I guide you to spend a little less time in your mind and a little more time in your body, so you can feel and experience life, rather than thinking and analysing your way through it.
As a culture, we avoid and protect ourselves from uncomfortable feelings and difficult emotions because we were never taught how to experience them without the negative repercussions of shame, name-calling, guilt, being rejected etc. Because of this, we have adopted mind-based approaches like therapy, talking, thinking, and meditating to try to feel better.
The problem is that feelings are not experienced in your mind. Life is not experienced in your mind. It’s experienced in your body. The taste of chocolate, the smell of your coffee, the freedom of dancing, hugging your children. Receiving money. Giving a sell-out talk on stage at your best-selling book tour. It’s all in the body. Somatic practices, including modalities like breathwork, movement, and sensing give us a way into the body to start building tolerance for exploring all emotions, sensation, and feeling.
I believe that when we stop pathologising feelings and trying to micro-manage them, and come down into our body we can finally feel them, listen to them, and learn from our body’s innate intelligence.
